Do most women tend to nag their SO in a relationship?

It seems that in a lot of relationships, the woman plays the role of the mother, or the big sister, and constantly acts like she's more mature, and often nags her husband/boyfriend/partner, sometimes treating him like a big kid/boy. Countless sitcoms/folk tales/stereotypes from various cultures seem to back this up.
Is this a typical trend, do most women tend to nag sometimes, or is it a sizeable minority?
I know some husbands exasperate their wives, but I think some women take it too far, having to take issue with everyone and just not being chill enough. Like somewhere between totally anal and a drug addict slob or something.

My god if a man said it was his wife's job to make dinner an to always look good and that's just the way the world works, he'd be banned for women bashing and all hell would break loose. So comically hypocritical

well i gather any form of verbal ugly is an unattractive quality, for both men and women. i have dropped two significant relationship because i couldn't see myself living the rest of my life with these argumentative and tempermental women. i totally loved them, but that kind of behavior didnt occur much between mom and dad. apparently some are much more forgiving than i am.

women nag, is so historical it's in the old testament written in the book of wisdom. how much a woman nags depends and how much she thinks she can get away with, which is why it often blows up after getting married.
