My ex-husband didn't do a regular guy's night out, it would be ski/snowmobile days and weekends. My fiance and I go out for dinners with our friends but those evenings end fairly early because of work the next day, or other obligations. It's an opportunity to catch up, but not a party type night, as neither we, nor or circles of friends, really do that. I might go to the occasional concert with a GF, but that is more of a rarety.
I usually go to a happy hour once a week with the work peeps. My wife will go up to the mountains with her girlfriends once every few months for a weekend. We all need our personal space from time to time.
We spent a lot of time apart in the first few years of our relationships - so hanging out with our friends didn't get in the way of our time together since we weren't together. And now, my husband works evenings and weekends - so on his free nights, we pretty much spend them together. We prefer to spend our time together than apart so it's not really an issue.
