I remember meeting my GF's parents a while ago. I didn't say anything. Ok, I answered yes or no questions but I didn't have anything to say to them. Just don't disrespect them.

I think Ill be in a similar place. If the mother is as introverted and as standoffish as she sounds like I won't have much to say either, since I too am pretty shy.

I figure the girl-friend who will be along will end up being the main convo partner if there is conversation...hopefully talking more to the mother.
