I can't understand why I am worse of a man than the abusive men I know/hear about that have women. These women may not be perfect, but neither am I, and being lonely at the end of the day sucks no matter how many friends/acquaintances you have.

Uh.....you REALLY think women would prefer a man who smacks the **** out of them?
Trust me, no matter how low you seem to think of yourself, you are such an infintly better man then a women beating scumb bag.
Those women who stay with these jerks, are either: (unfortunatly ->)too scared, or too stupid to leave them.
In consideration of all your threads I will say your biggest issue is self confidence and self esteem and no other person is going to give you that but you in all your accomplishments outside of a relationship. Your threads just drip with 'whoa is me" and I'll lay odds most women who read them as I do roll their eyes at the first post. Sad Sack comes to mind. A woman will not stick around for this and you are definitely a 'project'
Women who stay with abusers have two common denominators and one is they saw their parents operate that way. Man hits girl, girl sleeps on it and forgives me. She too lacks self confidence as the abuser will always say they are sorry then do it again. Demographics of this type of women in a contained area are more than likely to be abused on a regular basis. The need help themselves and not from a man.
If the two shall meet what you end up with is a co-dependent relationship.

I don't see it that way, because in practice, I am not worthy of said woman's company. It's depressing to think people who want to complement and praise women have less company than violent criminals.

I think you need to see your Dr. This morbid obsession you have with being lonely is a symptom of depression. Please take a break from the internet. At this time of the year being stuck inside wallowing in your own self pity isn't healthy for you.
Why is being depressed a worse quality than being an abuser?
It's not, and I think you know this.
Being depressed, however, can make you feel and think that you're a worse person than anyone else. Get treatment if you haven't.
