I have heard numerous times that if a guy has a huge truck (often times modified with smoke stacks etc) not for work purposes, he is overcompensating for something like a small brain or short height. Do you believe this is true?
My girlfriend told me that she thinks that so I was just wondering if anyone else believes this.
Well, I live in the heart of big truck country, and I don't think it's ALWAYS true.
A lot of the big truck owners are really into outfitting the vehicles, just like real Jeep fans love to get all the Jeep accessories. PLus it's harder to go muddin' in a little Ford Ranger.
You could just as easily say this about sports cars.
I'm a woman and have often thought this, I'm ashamed to admit (I hate stereotyping). Just yesterday I noticed that a man at my complex owns both a Humvee and a giant noisy pickup truck. It made me wonder.
Plus the ones that play their music super loud are like ... "look at me, I'm a stud" but it's really "I'm a loser."
Though sometimes a truck is just a truck, I suppose.
The menz have gone a little overboard with their big truck purchases. Seems like everyone has one. Still, it doesn't bother me that much. It's better than driving a girly car.

Never heard of this one.
I have a very short guy friend drives a Cadillac XTS. Everybody who knows that car knows that the front-seat dimension of that car is on average 47 inches. That is for TALL drivers.
I know he struggles while driving that car, don't know why did he bother?!
So yes, maybe there is some truth in that bolded statement.

Yeah. Other people believe this. I do not.
