I was intrigued with Nila's post on dating and I'm curious how many people have had relationships and sex but who have never been on a date.
This is kind of geared to the over 25 crowd with a little more experience, but I opened it to all.
Does this include sex without a relationship?
Or are you only asking about relationships that included sex, but no dates?
(Is it even really possible?)
ETA: so basically this is about becoming exclusive before ever going out together alone? Cause I have a hard time believing that a couple in a relationship never goes out on a date (dinner, movies, etc).
I don't believe any couple who says they have never gone on a date. At some point you go out to eat or something...
My ex hubby and I went out for coffee once, after we had been married for 8 years. Other than that, the only time we were in restaurants were family dinners with my parents and sibs.
We did eat a lot of take out at home; does that count?

So you went on a date. That's what I'm getting at.
Maybe it's another issue of different definitions? I don't know if there's a straight forward definition for a date.
I think grabbing a cup of coffee and going window shopping is a date. Other people probably don't...
