Exactly. This woman wants a romantic, rugged, mythical American image of a country lad. When presented with a real one, she probably wouldn't touch him with a Macedonian sarissa.
I agree with that. Hang a deer in the tree...work in a trailer factory...wait until they find out there are firearms in the house and you own and carry a handgun daily.
Watch them disappear along with your under 40k a year income. Hahaha
There's always some hilljack who thinks he's more country than them cuz he drives a Chevy 2500HD 4x4 and listens to Garth Brooks from the burbs. I find it funny myself.
Plenty of rodeos in the Midwest countryside, too, though I suppose not so much in Amish country. Regardless, you're operating from a fairly narrow definition of "real countryside."
You must be in the New England countryside. In the American South, Southwest, and West, there are rodeos ALL OVER the countryside.
Yep. and in the desert countryside there's even less than that.
Yup. I moved from the Adirondacks to Arizona. I know both quite well... and rodeos, farms, pickups, pedal steels, and whatnot are still stupid GAC sh1t.
The country is awesome. American "country" culture blows.

You can see how bad it's gotten here. Getting drunk and fightin' is thought of more to be country than the Amish who don't drink after they decide to stay. Only city slickers think that way. Their here to work...the "country"folks could never wake up at 4 am to do farm chores. Too drunk and whatnot.

Snowed in like no ones business. I'm lucky I have 4x4.
Hahahaha welp, this post went in a billion different directions. I loved all of the answers! By the way, I KNOW there are no country boys in Columbus haha. I live here and I see the complete lack of them, so that's why I was asking! I might have worded my question weirdly. I mean, obviously there are none here in the city. But I was curious to find out where I could go to find a good slew of 'em. :P Interesting to think that my idea of a country boy might be much different from what a real one is like, though... guess time will tell. Thanks again, everyone! This was fun.

There's plenty in Ohio. I've ran into many on my way to Sandusky over the years. You do have that mega Canton outdoor show. It's freaking huge. You'll find some there, trust me.
