I went on one day with a guy. It was ok and I agreed to see him again. But he wants me plan it. Which is fine, I like planning things. However, he keeps texting me "When are you taking me out?". I just am wondering if this means he expects me to pay. I'm ok with paying, however I only make about $50k and I wanted to make sure I can plan something in my budget.

If he's a stand up guy then HE should be taking YOU out! After all,he's the one who keeps texting you right? If he wants a date with you then the date should be on HIS tab.
I don't have any problem with a woman planning or paying for a date, but the way he's badgering you about it makes me think there's a huge chip on his misogynist shoulder.

Yeah I am getting this vibe as well. We had to reschedule twice for the first date. The first time the plans weren't set in stone and a friend from out of town had a last minute trip in so I met up with her for a drink. We only see each other once every couple of years. The second time was bc he had to work late. For some reason he keeps giving me a hard time about canceling even though we really never had plans.

Lol, I don't think you're OK paying for an entire date. Explain to him you're on a budget and go from there. Most likely, he will pick up the tab.

Really? perhaps, he wants her to show interest/initiative in the date. Youre making wild assumptions, dear, Lol
Nah, pookie I saw it before, he wants to be the woman.
A man should pursue a woman in the beginning. Then discuss going dutch.
Now if she asked him out, then yes I'd offer to pay.
