I have worked a dead end 9 an hr retail job for 15 years. I work with a bunch of broke, drug addicted alcholics and they have no trouble scoring women.
In that case, I presume that many women consider these guys hot. I know 60-year-old alcoholics living on disability who are considered hot.
After a certain age it shows lack of life planning, ambition, and discipline. Not very attractive traits. Of course you can get away with it provided you are a "starving artist" or musician type. But an average guy with nothing going for him = screwed.
What are you supposed to do if you planned to go to law school and then it became too expensive so yu couldn't afford it? You planned and had ambition and worked hard. Now what?
Or if you have a profitable idea for a website and don't have the technical skills - most people don't - and can't afford to pay someone else to do the tech stuff?

Eh, I had no idea how much money my recent ex made and the ex before that...well, I made around 3x more than he did and carried the household.
Not every woman demands a ton of (or even any) money. I just don't want to have to support a man again and want him to be successful enough to at least support himself. Apparently, that makes me a gold digger.
