I was thinking of this the other day... Being sort of single, separated anyways, I was wondering about other people who sleep alone, and how they sleep. When I was with my husband, in our huge king sized bed, I slept on the left side, on the very edge, almost as if to fall off, just so not to be near him.

I am not single, but my love has been traveling for work a lot .
Which may even be worse because as soon as I get comfortable with/without him, it is time to change again.
When he is gone, I sleep across the bed. Sometimes diagonal, and sometime just plain ole across the top of the bed.
I LOVE MY BED !
I'm a sprawling sleeper, so I'm much happier single than with a partner. Even when I've had good relationships, I rarely spent the night because my partner would end up with an elbow in his face and an ankle in his man bits and a wrist choking him in his sleep :P Even when sharing a bed with my mom at my grandfather's house where we use a California king, she ends up sleeping on the couch because I manage to take up the entire bed!
This is eventually going to be a problem but I'll enjoy my bedtime independence as long as I can!
When my boyfriend goes away, I sleep on the right side of the bed. But it's because the left side of the bed is pushed against the wall. I don't sleep in the middle because if I am by myself, I have three dogs and two cats that like to hang out on the bed with me.
We sleep in separate bedrooms, which horrifies everyone we tell. Contrary to popular belief, a couple can have a loving marriage and sleep in different rooms.
The fact of the matter is we both need our sleep and this arrangement works the best.
Of course, we both welcome the occasional "visit" from the other!
