I am tired, thus having a quiet evening under a warm blanket, with a Diet Coke on my left and two cats curled up on the right. Watching Netflix, and more-or-less simultaneously pontificating/bloviating on C-D forums. Evenings are still a bit chill this time of year in Seattle, fairly typical.
July-October it will probably be downright warm and dry; usually is. Sun sets late in the summer here, too, due to high latitude.
In a couple months, I will again tire of being single and find a reasonably-presentable woman to spend time with. That's my modus operendi across most of the adult years thus far. That usually spices up the weekends considerably; women are about drama and when I'm really, really bored of my lack-of same I invite it back in.
My husband works on the weekends - Sunday night and Monday all day are his "weekend" so Friday isn't really that special to me! When I worked - it was the same - so Friday doesn't really have the same meaning to us as it does to most people.
My wife and I love to plan some "date nights" now and then. Its never on a Friday. For instance, we are planning a Saturday date lunch and movie. Before and after, time well spent with our daughter. Best of all worlds ( a little husband/wife time, and family time). We will probably be in bed and asleep early too. Nothing better either! (I suppose my point, like I think yours is, the traditional "going out" days/times are no longer what is important to us).
The place I work would not even get a phone call if i won megamillons . I would off to bang the entire pacific rim lets just say the entire gene pool of Polynesia would be irreparably altered.
My wife is not feeling well and went to bed a little early. So post NFL draft I am sipping a little wine and surfing the net.
No shame in being on CD on a Friday night either. Mid 30's and with a job and family mean Friday night is a time for peaceful relaxation, leading into fun on the weekend with the fam as payoff for a long week at work.
