I'm with you. Doing all of the above IS positioning yourself because you are placing yourself in a position to have opportunities. Being proactive about general life matters probably leads to being proactive about relationships as well. An opportunity may present itself when you least expect it. Recognizing this and jumping on it is important.

Men Going Their Own Way. It's a group of guys who like to proclaim how much they don't want or need women and how they prefer to be alone, like anybody cares. There are a few of them on this board.
