Why can't they go for someone their own age? I was on an online dating site and specifically said I wanted ages 24-28. This one guy pretended to be 27. When we began chatting, he revealed he was really 37 and lied because he really wanted to meet me. I told him he needs to look for women his own age and he got mad and told me I was not mature enough to handle a 37 year old. He said I have the looks but not the brains. Again, I told him we don't have much in common and he needs to look for women his own age. I just think it's really creepy for these older guys to try and hit on young women. Yes he was good looking, but I am looking for someone I have things in common with. Not an older guy pretending to be a young hot guy!

Why do birds sing. Older guys have been hitting in younger women since the Neanderthal age. Where have you been? Are you telling me 30 year olds didn't hit in you when you were in college?

Many women like older men. For the older guys it's just weeding out the ones that don't. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, can't blame a guy for trying.

I think the OP's point is--she can blame him for trying, bc she specified the age range she was interested in, and he ignored that. I guess some people think that if they can manage to crash the gate, they might somehow stand a chance. But the gate's there for a reason.

When I was 18/19, the oldest guy that hit on me was 25. I dated him for a few months, but that fizzled out. I just find it creepy when a guy hits on women almost 20 yrs younger. Plus, this guy lied about his age. No way was I going to consider him! I have a lot of prospects online and in the real world. I'm not going to waste my time on someone like him. But I have to wonder, how many other guys will lie about their age just to get with a young woman.

Why do you care? brush off the ones you don't want and move on.

When you are 45 years old+ and single at any point, you will wish a good looking 35 year old guy would hit on you, its all relative.
