Then why not use the term "human" or "people" instead of "man"?
Why get butthurt over his choice to verbalize a gender? We are different outside of our genitalia, no matter how hard pretty little liars try to convince us biology isn't accurate.

Probably thread worthy, but when I was an undergrad zoology major studying animal behavior and mating systems, the prevailing thought was egg = expensive, sperm=cheap, and that it made more sense in most species for the females to be rather chaste and the males to sleep around. It's fascinating to read now about the current scientific literature on how that is effectively complete bunk and that promiscuity in females is really, through many many species, biologically beneficial.
This is a mainstream book, but a good read. The first 3-4 chapters are all about the benefits of female promiscuity from a biological standpoint:
I have 2 types of single guy friends. The ones who almost never get laid, and the ones who are sleeping with multiple women at a time. It's very little middle ground. And the never get laid types make up 80% of the single guys I know

I kind of agree with you on that (the lack of middle ground), but I think it is like 80% of the single guys I know are sleeping with a few people. Maybe it is an age range thing. I don't know.
Generally when I'm out meeting women it is a safe bet to think every woman I meet is dating around and having a FB/FWB or two, at least. Both my girlfriend and I had a couple when we met. It's just the way of the world.
