Today, at market, I saw another person tied up in their smart phone. Granted, they were alone in the check out line, mostly oblivious to me and the woman in front of them, but still, it was slightly dis-concerning.
I don't really follow what you are asking. Is there a reason you are trying so hard to be cryptic?
LOL. I too was like . The OP does not even make sense. Especially the 1969 scifi movie. I'm sure my husband has seen it and maybe even liked it. But I really don't give a sh-it about sci fi. So ya, I don't get it, OP.

So, some guy in the market that you do not know was oblivious to you and the cashier and it made you think about singing in a wedding dress while watching an old Bond movie? or is that an actual sci fi movie?

Okay, in the Sara Evans video, we have the modern world where it seems everyone is tied up with their mobile communications and that world. Where the hunk is paying more attention to his phone than to his babe and when he finally gets around to putting it away, he doesn't even know how to pay attention to her. It's "Okay, what do you want to talk about?".
In "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", Blofeld is more concerned with seducing, having Tracey, the girlfriend of the "late" 007 (as he believes but really he may not know how attached the two really were), than listening to his communication Net that an underling believes is vital.
We have modern tech world that seems to be out of touch with the real world as "I forgot my phone" demonstrates
and yet, 40+ years ago, when we didn't have such devices, we have an "example" of the folly of not being hooked into such devices, of being away from them.
I'm sorry, but your thinking seems dysfunctional--that you assumed we would "get" what you were talking about based on your vague and confusing OP. Could it be you are decompensating and having mild delusions? Are you on medication that you perhaps have not been taking properly?
