Men do get courted if they're shy, reticent, or clueless, but have other redeeming features. At some point, though, he takes over a little, and they start going out by mutual agreement, or hanging out, and at least splitting costs evenly.
She pursued me for none of the reasons listed. We started as friends and I actually preferred being friends and having it stay that way. She wanted it to be more and I tried to remind her about our friendship agreement and act not interested or enthused about moving further along. She couldn’t drop back to being just friends like we used to be and we stopped seeing each other entirely.
Looking back it really worked out for the best at that time. Things are different now and maybe things would turn out differently.
Walk his dog, and pick-up food and beer on the trip?
Take him on date to the nearest TV and video game?
Silence?
Ask him to make and mess and not clean it up?
Buy him power tools?
