IMHO, in general terms (not all people), Facebook is a place to let your ego shine, your idiocy thrive, and to stupidly open up your world to the rest of the people who choose to do the same thing.

Been there, done that, ended it.

Instagram (if she has one) is wayyyyy more telling of her personality and quality as a woman than any other social media site from my experience.

I look at the things she posts, the people she's follows and the things she likes, especially since family members tend to not be on IG as much as Facebook.

Some single men do. They use it as a way of putting themselves out there.

There's always going to be exceptions. But my experience has been the same as Raena's....straight, single men are definitely the minority on social media.

I have a FB with 200 ish friends. Mostly co-workers, family and Highschool.

I post maybe 5-6 things a year, usually pictures of hiking, riding or the like. I mainly use it to check out ski resorts pages, biking trails and hiking pages. My girlfriend posts on her wall a lot, just silly stuff. I don't mind.

It's interesting to know how people really are, then see how they perceive themselves on FB.

it appears that at least with youngsters they gain self esteem or get depressed based on the amount of *friends/followers* they have on the facebook

some brag about having more followers than the next person

am i wrong on this?

So you're suggesting that men go go gay?
