The old lady is okay for info (intel so to speak in military terms) but you need to do things for yourself. You already said you are gonna meet the "lucky lady" so now the ball is on your side, make it wortwhile.

No woman wants a guy who doesn't have the spine to talk to her himself (at least I know I wouldn't), and instead gets another WOMAN to talk to her for him. That's so juvenile and not a good way to start something off if you do want something with her.
