Walking, or even just jogging, is not enough to stay in shape for either gender.

I think almost every dude I know is into one or both of those things. Few exceptions being the role playing sci fi geeks. These guys arent into sports or playing video games. But they can tell you all you ever wanted to know about Star Trek and/or Star Wars. I'll never understand these types.

Now I see why dating has become harder in general

Except on those rare days ending in "Y", at which point they still don't settle because it's not settling to like someone and why am I even.......

I never found losing to be fun, but perhaps that is just me.

$50k might be 'good enough' for your area.

In comparison to in my area (SF Bay Area), $100+k is expected and it is like $50k/60k in many cities in US.

IMO, new '6-figure' income in Bay Area is $150k minimum.

Dig, OP--if she's also making 40 or 50K, you're in business! 98-100K puts you on easy street, in most cities. And women like a dude who's not a workaholic, a dude who makes time for them, and has a good work-life balance. Mellow, loving, affectionate, into enjoying the outdoors, has time to share child-care if a child happens, those are all on the plus side. Don't be thinking you're second-rate for that.
