I'm about to be a senior in high school and I've never had a girl of the opposite sex kiss me, hug me or even say that she liked me. The only time I girl ever laughed or smiled at me is if I was acting like a class clown. Numerous girls (at least 15) have called me ugly and the only girl that ever kissed me kissed me on the cheek because she felt bad for me.
Homecoming and prom is coming up this year and honestly, I want to go, but my insecurity is preventing me from even asking someone out. How can I get over my fear and start talking to girls? What should I do?
Do you have friends? Are you able to talk to people in general? Are you involved in activities at school? Some high school girls can be cruel, but if you seem fun and cool that will go a long way in your favor.

Be yourself. Make yourself someone you'd want to be with if you were the opposite sex.
Find clubs or groups that interest you. Join your high school's 'toastmasters' club if they have one. That will help you to best present yourself to others.
You're a young man, and have a full life in front of you. Don't sweat it. In time, you'll find someone who finds you attractive inside and out. Someone you will form a bond with and will grow old with.
Just be yourself... if anyone falls in love with someone you're trying to be but aren't - they're not falling in love with you...
Good luck...
There are certain things we can control, and those that we cant. DO your best with what you were given, and be content with that. Level of confidence you carry yourself with and your personality will take you a lot further with women than being a pretty boy.
1) I doubt you are truly "ugly", very few people are. It may just be high school "mean girl" crap. Seriously, what kind of person even tells someone they are "ugly"? Except mean people with poor social skills. 2) Are you heading to college? I think you'll find things much better at college, a wider variety of people, with different interests and different experiences, more mature to boot. Generally much more accepting of people who aren't just like everyone else. Everyone I know who struggled socially in high school blossomed at college.
I've been to Homestead a few times. Remember it being mostly black and Latino. Fairly easy demographic you're working with to pick up chicks. Just gotta be aggressive.
