Theres a new manager at my job who I asked out a week ago (he's different def not abusive like I talked about in my last post). He would flirt with me and compliment me and I could just tell that he liked me. He told me he was single and hinted around but when I asked him out he said he can't take me because if work rules. Now ever since I asked I think hes been avoiding me and won't talk or joke with me anymore :/ any reason why? Did he not like me after all. Did he think I would tell if we did date. I dont get it

The sounds like a smart lad that doesn’t want to put his career at risk for the sake of a female. I can’t blame him for avoiding you.

Ego boost and it worked.
Now tend to your job, you know those duties that you are paid a salary to perform, quit making oogle eyes as the manager who is your boss and leave your romance ideas out of the work place from now on.

I DO do my job. I just thought he wanted to ask me to a movie so I asked him.

He could at least go back to acting normal

Some people just like to have work gfs/work bfs. It will be a bigger deal for him if you two get caught since he's your manager.

I agree. It looks like he was engaging in what he thought was harmless flirting but when he was asked out he ran for the hills because s**t got real.

He wasn't risking his job for an office romance. Don't blame him one bit for that. I would never date someone from work either.

When exactly did you ask him out? Middle of the day? On your lunch break? Sitting at your desk on company time?

You *thought* but did not know for sure. In my experience if someone *wanted* to ask me to a movie, they did ask me to a movie.
