I have found OLD to be a good tool to add to the arsenal when I want to meet people. For me, it is "real life dating", as I meet people as soon as is practicable- usually within a couple of days.

I would think that if someone (of any gender) wanted to meet a partner, they would use all of the tools at their disposal.

Online dating IS real life dating, unless you're only looking for penpals.

It's just a different venue to meet people.
