As you could see if you read my posts, I didn't say he couldn't go...in fact I think he might be there right now. I just wasn't 100% comfortable with it because it felt like it was a singles thing. In my mind it was...I've never worked in an environment where we did that. But also that my husband goes to many social evening events without me and I am totally fine with it. So I was asking. Glad I did.

Lol at happy hour being"for businesspeople and corporate types." The biggest and most social group I've ever worked with, who I went to occasional happy hours with for five years or so, all worked in education. Teachers, paraprofessionals, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists.

Happy hour is a time to have fun. You can do crazy activities that the bar hires for entertainment. They have raffles, bets, games, radio sponsers, d.j.'s, pool, guest bands, theme nights etc.

Op it depends how well you trust him.Does he know when to cut off the drinks? Lay off the ladies? Not fight with the big drunkerds?

Your happy hours are a lot more exciting than ours, LOL. Drink and app specials is about as zany as it gets.

I go with my GFs (all married), I go with friends, I go with my husband.

I'm looking for a deal, not a penis.
Ditto. I like happy hour specials.

LOL its not that kind of bar. He is at a fancy tapas and wine bar (texted me). He isn't really a ladies man and I am pretty sure he has never been in a physical fight. At least not since middle school. Cut off the drinks...well that is what worries me most but he promised 2 tops.

So you have a weird feeling?

I am usually an extremely trusting person, but the few times I had awful feelings and did not trust my partner, they were cheating. I now listen to those feelings and trust my instinct.
