Pretty much. Although at this point, most of the people I know who vocally supported him have begun to quietly eat their crow.

A little echo chamber.

Fantastic, that will be a great aid to society when absolutely nobody knows how to debate any more.
There are plenty of ways to engage in healthy, respectful debate with others of varying viewpoints without dating people whose values aren't compatible with yours.

Indeed.

I a few people that married conservatives and made it work, but they were fiscal conservatives.

This election's hot buttons hasn't been about fiscal policy, the differences here is on civil rights, treatment of those that look or speak differently, religion, etc. It's a very charged election, and it bums me out big time. I don't know if Trump is actually full of hate or he just likes riling people up, but I can't imagine kind, compassionate, open minded and open hearted people supporting him.

Perhaps things would be different if there was a palatable alternative.

Had an old boyfriend tell me I was going to support Drümpf. That relationship has long since ended.

A woman is going to support whomever she wants during this cesspool of an election. OP, you're just going to have to respect it. They have to respect your decision too, but not the fact that Trump is a piece of .

I don't care too much for Clinton, she's a pro corporate centrist, like Obama. But I don't find much of her unpalatable, either. It's just another status quo candidate.

I remember seeing this in 2012, where a lot of guys wouldn't date women who were going to vote for Obama. It's really sad how bad Politics has gotten that now people are using it as even a dating measuring stick. What happened to your vote being your business? Really sad that we have added one more red flag to an already boat load of red flags as to why we won't date people.

Whether or not you keep your vote your business, your values are still your values and are often reflected in your political preferences. If somebody's going to choose or not choose you based on your philosophical stances on various issues, those are typically apparent without disclosing voting data.

My dad has never told a soul how he votes. His values and leanings are readily apparent, however.

Seriously, its pretty easy to tell how someone is going to vote through everyday personal discussions (if they vote).

I know many people who feel much more strongly about her.

For most of those people, if there was a different candidate in her position, Trump wouldn't even get a second thought.

Yeah, it's pretty ugly.
