What kind of phone call are we talking about? A brief checking-in, or a long chat about mutual interests and everything under the sun? I wouldn't have time for a long phone visit daily.
I typically talk to my new exclusive gf 30 mins to 1 and a half hour every night. We just finished an amazing 1 hour n 10 min phone call. We know each other's schedule and I know she's laying in bed pretty much every night at this time
Today I straight up asked her "are you ok with me calling you every night? I don't want you to feel smothered" and she said of course she is..she likes it
So I guess it works for us

Can it really happen differently? At this point, if you love each other and are invested in each other, of course you would want to talk to each other every day! If you don't, it means there has never been a real interest in the first place.
