Update:

On Wednesday, he said he was sick but would probably make it to the date on Thursday.

On Thursday, he texted me saying he was 'too sick' but wanted to meet during the weekend. He asked me when I'd be available.

As it was NYE and I was moving, my only availability was Sunday evening. He never replied to me to this day and I never sought an answer.

I think my gut feeling was right to doubt from the get go.

People faking to be sick to escape a date they asked to reschedule ... been there, done that years ago. This is so obvious. Lord.

Well at least he made it easy for you to weed him out.

Better now than later. Keep on trucking, OP.

For sure! I didn't have to bother cancelling, he made is really easy.

I manifested what I deeply wanted, I think.

It pretty much means he was never really interested in you. Or, he was, but simply got cold feet and/or nervous to meet.

This actually just happened to me, though!

I was supposed to meet a guy for drinks a few weeks ago. We made plans that Sunday. I felt a cold coming on but thought "I'll be fine by Thursday."

I wasn't fine by Thursday so we reschedule for the weekend.

So-called cold knocks me on my butt for a week and a half.

Then he leaves for vacation over Christmas holiday.

If this guy doesn't text you again he could have been faking (lame) but there's some nasty bugs going around this year so it's entirely possible.

I'm curious, what is your question at this point? You haven't seemed interested in anyone's feedback to your original post. (This is an honest question, not a flame or troll attempt.)

I'm not sure you read the update properly, then.

I just provided a feedback as to 'how the story ends'. I wasn't asking a question in this update. There's no further question.
