I am in a big city for work for 5 more weeks and am using dating apps. Am I going to have better luck saying I am here temporarily for work or just not saying anything?

Since it only makes sense to try to talk to and meet women that are open to it, its the only way to go.
I mean, unless you're ok with pretending you're interested in really dating while trying to get laid while on a trip which is A) really damn scuzzy, and B) unnecessary since there are plenty of people up for a fun night and are honest about it

Things like that work just fine for people open to those things.
The above post looks like a good idea. You should try it OP. You'd be surprised at how many women may be just looking to do a few activities, something different, no pressure or strings attached.
I was on an overseas trip for 2 weeks last month. I published a similar ad on the local dating site and met up with 2 women (i'm a gay woman btw). I always met in public places, did not press for anything hookup-like, we hung out and I had a great time. I actually went to one of the women's home, met her family and had dinner with them lol. I still message with both of them, and now have networked with a couple of people I can hang out with the next time I visit. I'm no longer a stranger there. Good luck OP
