I think robots are a great idea. Both men and women would love that. The perfect robot guy or woman. No complaints, never gets tired, looks hot, choose the pbysical preferences and even switch them up, says the right things...I think most people crave a human connection but for those who simply can not find anyone who wants them, a robot could actually keep those on the edge from, say, doing harm to themselves.
I am all for this technology, actually. I probably wouldn't want to use it but I believe it could be very beneficial for some.

Oh I loved movies like "Her" with Joaquin Phoenix / Scarlett Johanssen and "Surrogates" with Bruce Willis.
But you know there is a unintended Dark Side to this whole "sex robots" thing. It's "not a human being", so I think amongst the sick and twisted, the "simulated 13yr old Natalie Portman" will be the runaway best seller.
Hetero woman here, and no, wouldn't date a male porn star. It's not even so much the job, I dunno, I just don't think I could. I'm pretty open-minded, far from a prude or anything, but somehow I just can't see myself doing it.
For me it is not an answerable question. Because I can not decide if I would - or would not - start a relationship with someone based on _one trait_. These "Would you date someone who X" questions make no sense to me. What I can say is there is nothing about sex work _per se_ that would automatically exclude anyone for me.
There is an ex porn worker who now has a channel on you tube called "RedHeadRedemption" for example. She is currently engaged. So clearly there are men who have no issue with marrying someone who does or used to do such work.

Well actually you should be considering protected sex with _anyone_ as you can never tell for sure.
But - depending on where a porn actress has worked - you can sometimes be more sure than others. There are mandatory medical tests involved with a lot of sex work in many areas.
Put it this way - if I was told I had to have unprotected sex with a woman tomorrow - and I had to choose a porn actress or a random woman from a bar to do it - I would take the porn actress. At least with her it is more likely she and the men she has worked with have been tested frequently.
It is never 100% - especially as different areas have different standards in this regard - but I will take some guarantees over no guarantees any day of the week.
I think it is quite a difference if it is a male or female pornstar.
It is pretty difficult for a guy to get into the porn business because alot of guys want to do it. Usually it is not as much for the money but for their ego. Also, they have to be equipped pretty well. Just by looking at the guys in the professional movies - they are kinda douchey. Big schlong and douchey - that rules it out for me already.
On the other hand - it is pretty easy for a woman to get into the porn business. Often times they have issues. And you do not even earn that much in the beginning, until you made a name for yourself, which may only happen if you are extremely good in something - that would scare me off as a sincere guy looking for a nice gf.
It would make me uncomfortable. I think that's what most people would feel, but if not I'm not concerned about running contrary to some consensus. My desire and comfort are all that matters regarding who I'm open to dating.
Most men here won't be able to date porn stars and they shouldn't be fantasizing about it, either. They should try to get grounded and have relationships with real people. The fantasy world they live in is destructive and unhealthy.
