Cool, maybe soon people will be able to marry their horses too, awesome. Now that marriage has been denigrated, it is all good. Maybe we can work on child brides and incest too. It is all just one step at time after all, isn't it.
Actually I really love my 67 Shelby Cougar. Maybe we can get recognized too so my auto repairs can be covered under my health insurance plan instead of my having to pay out of pocket for a mechanic.
for the few c.-d./r.'s in polyamorous relationships would this bring yoo closer to marriage ?
I don't think you can legally get married, but you get "recognized". It is still only a domestic partnership, but you can visit each other in a hospital or add to you insurance policy if allowed.
What confuses me a bit - under the ordinance, domestic partners, whether in groupings of two or more, would not necessarily be romantic partners.
So, what's the difference between a polyamorous domestic partnership and
living with roommates?

Yea, comparing adult humans who can give informed consent legally to horses, children, and cars makes loads of sense. Same silly arguments were made against gay marriage.
(PS, sadly, children CAN get married in many states... who opposes changing that? Fundamentalist Christian groups.)

It makes as much sense as celebrating the denigration of society and culture by mainstreaming degeneracy and perversion. But your side won the culture war; congratulations, you secured another hill with no fear reprisal. Well played.

Mod cut.
One of my best friends who has been in a 15 year triad there is thrilled. That's great. She and they are about as normy as it gets. The most pervy thing she does is putting nutella on her waffles.

Reason: Rude; name-calling.
By law it's just a tiny change. A bit more relaxed approach to hospital visitations. Insurance companies will still try to fight it, I assume. They have a clear definition for members of a household.
This measure was passed so that those in a polyamorous relationship would have access to their partners' health insurance, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Is it perhaps just provisional?
