I think this OP falls in love too quickly and too deeply and she got scared. She could also have found some new friend at University which altered things in the relationship. University is a difficult time and new 'friendships' are formed which are more 'immediate' than the ones from back home. She has just chosen the other guy. sorry.

First, women don't have to be in love with a man to enjoy their company. Second, when a women tells you she doesn't love you, she doesn't. Finally, you can enjoy a relationship without being in love.

I personally don't feel 5 months is too quick for more of a commitment. If there's no commitment, then that means you're technically allowed to look around for other people? Seems she only wanted to keep things casual with all the benefits of a relationship but without the actual commitment. You wanted something different. Both of you did nothing wrong. Time to move on.
