I was walking through a shopping mall and observed a very professional attractive African American Women was making her way through the store and a African American Man who looked like a Hip Hip Artist went up the women and said, "you are fine looking" "I want to date you" The women seemed like she had seen this all before and quickly dispatched the man who did not seem to be of the same style or social class she was.
It did make me think though because it had been a long time since I have seen someone attempt to pick someone up in a public place. In an era of video dating, speed dating, singles parties and Internet personals, it seems like the old fashioned pick up attempt is dead. Ame I wrong?
Has someone attempted to puck you up and do you think it is more common in certain ethnic groups like african americans?
he should have disarmed her by making a "common courtesy" approach (Hey the weather sho is nice 2day)
by letting a woman know your attracted to her, right off the bat u give her leverage.
women like mysterious men who make vague and open-ended comments, women want to earn YOUR approval. when u try to earn the approval of a woman, you look like a low status beta male (and you most likely are).
The mall used to be the perfect pick up place when I was a teenager. I will say this that my experiences meeting someone at random is better than any club, bar, or happy hour spot. I met my first, everything, in traffic one day. He honked at me claiming that I almost hit him on a two lane, left turn. I rolled down my window and told him sorry and rolled it back up quickly. A few street later he asked me to pull over and he got out of his car and we talked for a minute and he got my number. The rest was history. Good guy, great person, and a Florida boy.
Random places like grocery stores, gas stations, are untapped markets. Now I'm not talking about it being a hunting ground however random opportunities to meet someone during the daytime in a relaxed environment is nice.
