I feel as though I dodged a bullet in the last few days. first some background.
As I have written in the past on this forum, I am W/M ,widower 52 years of age. Just for further clarification, I am probably considered somewhat good looking, slightly affluent, etc.. (enough of me talking about me, why don't you talk about me for a while)lol
For the past few months, I have come into contact with a woman I've know for several years.
During these dates for several reasons we have NOT been intimate. But during computer communications or on the phone, she talks a great game, describing in detail our next encounter and such. She has repeatedly attempted to arrange to "hook up" with me. (An idea, that I have resisted for several reasons, just write off as differences).
Now the report of the gunshot. As recently as a few days ago, she was still enticing me to be intimate. LAST NIGHT, she advised me that she believes she is pregnant with her (former ?) boyfriends baby.
I know I have a cynical outlook on life, but I can't help but think I was being "set up" to be declared the daddy.
Believe it or not, this comes as a relief to me, as it gives some creedence to my ill feeling about the relationship.
Its sounds to me she's going through an uncivil manner. Women as a whole, esp. women my age, they're up to no good and would do what they could to ruin a good man's life.

There was a tread about how long to wait in a relationship before engaging in sex. Your experience is a good argument for a 6 month waiting period. Or at least waiting for a period.
I'm going to go with the group here, you dodged the BIG one. It's unfortunate and sad that a woman her age (assuming she is old enough but still within child bearing years) and not some young 18 year old (LOL) would stoop to such a low place. I would love to believe that when you get older you stop with the mind games, but apparently not.
Be glad you had the wherewithall to avoid such a disasterous ending!
