Sad stories, sad movies.... Lol Yea. Any one remember Where the Red Fern Grows? Mandatory reading. A short book packed full of male and female emotion mixed in the proper proportions in the context of growing up and dealing with different types of loss. Perhaps my previous post could be construed as having contradictions but that was not my intention. My basic point is that male and female must COMPLIMENT and not CONTRADICT emotionally. We are different, whether those differences are natural or learned is really non-sequiter.
I hardly ever cry, and if I feel it coming on, I go away from everyone else and sob, even when a loved one dies. Aside from that. I often tear up when watching, or reading about acts of compassion. Example: In Les Miserables (The musical) when Valjean goes to Fantine (who's dying) and promises to take care of Cosette, (Fantine's 8 year old daughter) I cry every time. The ending also makes me tear up. The end of It's a Wonderful Life", when the whole town pitches in to help George make up the 8k...whoa...that also makes me cry. Stuff like that really get to me more than anything else
Feminine side meaning being sentimental and sensitive.
I was watching Charlotte's Web last night and when she died I just bursted out in tears. Everybody was surprised of seeing me like this since I portray myself as a strong character, macho, manly, tough whathaveyou.
Any thoughts?
