I do like the Superman main theme by John Williams. Or Enya's Book of Days and Anywhere Is, the two best upbeat songs I think. Also "Within" by William Joseph, that's my #1 most played song on iTunes, because it's very fast paced, fairly short, and upbeat. It's classical music, basically, popular classical I guess, but it's great I think. Coldplay's Viva La Vida is one of my (recent) favorites too, that's a great song and I consider it upbeat, I guess because despite the subject matter it has a grand, majestic sound.

The Best - Foo Fighters,

Basically asks if someone is getting the best of you. At the time that someone was me.

If I could Change (then I'd really be amazed) - Offspring

This is my current theme song. A giant FU to what were the worst years of my life and my dedication to harness that energy to make the changes I need to make. I was really mentally and physically spent, I'm returning to the person I once was....only better.

When I was going through my divorce and my x didn't see his kids for almost 2 1/2 years I used to sing Somewhere Over The Rainbow to them. It got us all through a very tough time. Now that they are both teenagers they still love that song. Martina McBride did a wonderful version on one of her albums and it is on my ipod and my daughter's. When we are having a bad day we play it really loud and realize that life does move on even when you think it won't.
