After a 16 year relationship in which I totally lost myself, years of trying to be what he wanted me to be only to find it was never enough. I had to fight to find ME again. My own voice. For a long time I had forgotten how to do this. These songs were a source of strength for me.
During the last break up (he cheated), I dumped him. I definately was not who I used to be, but these were some songs I could really relate to and guess you can say helped me through.
And lastly... This one is one that really spoke to my heart when it came to meeting my husband, who is wonderful and knows exactly what I went through because he himself had found himself in similar hurts.

Tori Amos' entire album, "Under The Pink," was the soundtrack to my nervous breakdown in college. My roommate, with whom I was very close, attempted suicide, which sent me into a downward spiral. I didn't eat, didn't sleep, and hardly spoke to anyone for over a week. Just listened to Tori Amos. And paced & cried. Then my parents had to come scoop me up, to get me some help. Happily, my roommate and I both got through the hard times, and made it to sophomore year! Unfortunately, she had to do the year over... and the next year I just went to school part-time~ which accounts for my 5 yr. stint rather than the average 4 yrs., I suppose!

We all have our favorite songs but it's that one song you hear on the radio in the car that made you cry or made you pound your head back and forth in agreement which made you say, "That's it!!"
My favorite is "Numb by Linkin Park." I like everything about that song cause I can relate. Most importantly though it ROCKS!!!
