ChessieMom, you got good taste in shoes! Love both styles you posted.

Oh yes...definitely scratch the blue and replace with a white one. Every man needs a really nice white collared shirt!!! Looks great with jeans, and over a t-shirt!!!

Huh??? You posting to the right thread???

Oh, never mind - I see what you are talking about now. Trust me - if it fits properly, and looks appropriate, no one cares what dept. it comes from.

Here are some of my faves on guys in no particular order:

* Cashmere sweater, fine knit, v-neck, looks especially sexy with a plain tee showing underneath & the sleeves casually pushed up. (What does Carson Kressley call that? sdhuzzing? )
* Love leather blazers on men, MG - black is a great choice! Especially with jeans - YUMM! But I would skip the button down for date night if you are going to the more casual chain spot. A very simple thin-weight sweater - almost t-shirt weight - in either a classic taupe or a nice color to compliment your eyes & skin tone. Looks very rich when contrasted against the texture of the leather. I see many for men that are either a silk blend or jersey/rayon knit - VERY nice to the touch....

* Women are right - something about a man in a suit with a spectacular tie just makes him look so confident - but not cocky. If you are bumming that you'll have to spend money on nice slacks only to lose more weight - just remember: tailors are your friends! Do you have Gentleman's Wearhouse by you? Very nice stuff, and they (a few years ago anyway - probably still do) will take it in for free for you as many times as you need.
* I got my brother a very nice pullover last year that had a zip opening rather than henley buttons. I thought he would love it, but he politely asked to exchange it for something more...dull. I still see them out this year & still think they're hot...oh well.

* Zappos. Get your shoes from Zappos on line. Free shipping no matter what. Return what doesn't fit - no charge for shipping either direction. They will honor a lower price if you find one elsewhere, but I rarely bother to check that out. Their service & selection are unbeatable - way more choices than I've seen anywhere else.

I love jeans, boots, t shirt or solid colored polo (nothing fancy). A cowboy hat is icing on the cake. I hate seeing men (if you can still call them that) that wear jeans so tight, I couldn't get into them or the guys that take longer to get ready than I do. I think if you can actually work (and your hands show it) that is so much more sexy than those bubbled up muscles you get at the gym. Oh yeah, and it's gross when they put on so much cologne that I gag. Uuugh!
