aside from the fact he is passionate about me and life and his love for our kids and grandkids... he says what he feels...he isn't a man who hides his emotions. He doesn't always have to try to 'fix' things for me...he puts up with my 'quirks' and mostly he makes me laugh... we make each other laugh... and I cannot think of a better thing in my life than that.
I asked my mom and dad, who were married 45 yrs before my dad passed... what sustained them through all our teenage insanity..and without a hesitation they both said that they made each other laugh....
I grew up in a home full of laughter and music and fun....our home was like that too...and so far 25+ yrs later... so good!!!
My SO (who might not be my SO much longer ...but he still qualifies) has the most amazing musical talent. I just love listening to him play guitar, piano, sax. And he is an incredible cook. And he cracks me up constantly...I really do love that.
Thats what I was going to ask. Its really tough to say what I love MOST about my wife. There are so many things.
Impossible question for me to answer. Sometimes, it can be just the little things like the look in her eyes and how it makes me feel when she says "I love you" or how she kisses me at the very beginning and end of each day. Sometimes, I really love how she looks at me with such excitement and anticipation like a kid entering Disneyland when I take the first bite of a special dinner she made for me or when she says "go ahead and order another martini".
Long story...but basically...issues with his family, son is giving him a fit, and his mom, who lives out of state, is in poor health. Between the kid and the mom...he's stressed out, and really, he just needs time to deal with all that...and not worry about trying to keep a relationship working. Don't get me wrong, he is a GREAT guy...really he is. But it's about a 30 min drive between us, and we are both so busy...I'm just feeling guilty even asking for ANY of his time right now. We haven't been together all that long - a few months - and we are both cautious enough people to move slowly. So...we'll see. I think I'm tougher than he is...so I'll be fine - no matter what.
Is there anything that stands out from the rest of their qualities?
While there are many qualities that I love about my SO that make her a "total package" for me, the thing I love most is her devotion and passion to serving God, putting God first place in her life above all else. I believe that a result of this is her being the most humble, self-less, pure hearted person I know of.
