Can you give us some current examples of women shaped like that who men swoon over? Men now like women with curves like J-Lo, Vida Guerra, Kim Kardashian, Jessica Biel, etc. Not women like Twiggy, Gwenneth, Meg Ryan, etc.
Gisele Bundchen.

It's interesting to read the responses here, for this is a word that obviously means totally different things to different people.

I don't put 'curvy' in the same category at all. I think of BBW to mean obese or morbidly obese.
I think of curvy to mean hour glass with substantial hips and boobs and a narrow waist. I would say hour glass women from size 4 to size 16 can be considered curvy before moving into the fat range. So much depends on height and shape though - some women look massive with rolls at size 14 and others are fit, healthy and shapely like the Gray's Anatomy woman.

I do think some women like to think they are curvy when in fact the only curves they have are in the belly rolls.

I definitel disagree that any woman who has a single lb to lose shouldn't count as curvy, but then I think the ideal dress size for a woman is 6 - 8, not 0 - 2.

I think context may have something to with it as well.

"Curvy" when applied pop singers or movie stars is entirely different than "curvy" in a personal ad on craigslist.

"I'll do'er" and "swooning over her" are two totally different things. Men say they would do her because she's not ugly. She seems like she would be fun to hang out with and thats about it.

Its VERY interesting... like a frickin' merry'go'round! Its seems its a subject that will never find a definite answer, or understood generalization.

Yup. One night, for giggles, Mrs. CPG and I combed through personal adds and tried to reverse engineer what people looked like from the ads. We decided that all the women on there underestimated their dress sizes by at least 4.

They HAVE to be fit if they have this shape in order to be considered attractive though.
It's interesting because I think Jillian looks way to muscly and manly to me. I would hate to look like that. I prefer a softer, more feminine look for myself.
I certainly admire her level of fitness though!

But this is why it's so great that people have different tastes - their truly is someone for everyone!
