I am trying to find the perfect gift for my girlfriend of 1.5 years.
I've already got the flowers being delivered to her office on her birthday.
I am also baking a really nice cake to surprise her at dinner.
(will both of these make her feel special?)
The problem is, she already has everything! Literally.
Does anyone have any good ideas for birthday gift ideas?
Thanks.
Hey, glad you guys are working things out
I'd take her on a hot air balloon ride - might cost you a few bucks, but it can be so worth it!
I'm one of those people who has everything. So's my entire family. Makes xmas and birthdays tough!
I find that cool experiences or high end consumables tend to make the best gifts under those circumstances. Or you can take everyday items and find a high end version to replace them with.
Examples: father-in-law...loves wines, has a wine cellar...found him a rare bottle of wine he'd been looking for...is a multi-millionaire who also collects hats...found him one that says, "Don't forget my senior discount!" He loved it. Got one of those for my wealthy father, too. FIL loves cigars...his son got some cubans
mother/father...got them 1000 thread count sheets and really expensive, plush, awesome towels to replace the ones they had
mother...got her a full service spa day in a limo and then to a dinner at a schmancy restaurant
brother: loves golf and guns - can get lessons in some cool destination golf spot or shooting lessons with ex-military (cool place in Vegas)
Just be thoughtful and try to play up some interests...
A gift certificate to Victorias Secret is always nice along with the flowers. Or some kind of meaningful piece of jewelry. I love when men put thought into womens gift giving. My X used to do that! He would remember something I saw in a store and liked. He would always go back and buy it and put it away! He knew my exact taste in everything, even clothes right down to the size....to perfection! Women love this in a man! Good luck, hope you choose something nice!
Spa time always a plus...maybe a certificate for a trip for two to Cabo or somewhere warm in 2 months (April so you have your tax refund to blow). That way its not a surprise and gives her a little time to...uhh...get in bikini shape...if she gets worried about stuff like that.
since she has everything she needs. help someone who doesnt have anything and DONATE in her name.
why are we so insistent on filling our lives with material goods. the money you would use to buy her a gift would probably feed 20 starving kids in appalachia. do that instead.
and since you want to "give" her something, how about a home made coupon booklet with "massage", "foot rub", "sponge bath" coupons.
