I was driving and looked in my rearview mirror and saw a guy brushing his teeth! EEEWWW GROSS!!!! Am I being overly sensitive here?

What etiquette breaches have you seen in public?

I've seen flossing in public. That was gross. I've seen someone picking their scalp in public and examine it. I wanted to barf. Everyday on the way to work I saw the same woman sit in the same spot on the bus and put on her makeup. I dunno, maybe it doesn't bother some but it didn't look right to me.

To answer your question, I don't think you're being overly sensitive but since he was in his own vehicle and not really 'in your face', I'd try to overlook it--or just not look at all. It's when it's right in front of your face that makes me cringe.

Brushing your teeth while driving? I don't know about gross, but It is certainly is a talent in the car. I can barely turn the knob on the radio while driving, lol, jk
I wouldn't want to see it, but then again they are in their car, so, what can you do...

I'd rather that than driving past a guy parked in his truck and his arm is moving in a suspicious way while he's looking right at you. That was an icky moment if there ever was one.

Okay, this is probably bad, but I floss in my car after lunch and before I go back into the building. I always carry floss with me in my purse AND in my car, just in case someone steals my purse. After the floss job, I chew gum. I have this thing down to a science.

Twinkle - I have a toothbrush, travel sized toothpaste, floss, gum, and mints in my car, in my purse, AND in my desk drawer at my office. I brush my teeth after every meal, and I floss my teeth pretty much every time I snack - maybe extreme, but its just one of those things.

I do, though, always make sure to get up and close my office door before whipping out the floss!! If I'm in my car (NOT driving) I don't mind if people see me - I'd rather they see me flossing my teeth than those people who will sit and dig around in their mouth with their finger trying to get something unstuck - GROSS!!!!

People strangely think that being in their car makes them invisible

You mean I'm not???

When I was working, when I pulled into my parking space in a parking garage, I don't think anybody could see me flossing. They'd really have to be craning their necks and straining to see what I was doing in there. Oh - and I have tinted windows in my car too. So, I'm ... well, sort of invisible - a little bit.
