Cuddling after a little *ahem* is lovely. But once sleep moves in, my partner might as well be in the next room. All I want wrapped around me is the sheets.
I don't mind cuddling while watching tv/movie or after sex.
However, I am a light sleeper. I don't want anyone touching me while sleeping.
I just got out of a 6 month relationship where we began spending the night about 3 times a week.
Now, it feels so good to come home to my king size bed after work and know that it is all mine.
I know that males and females have different opinions on this topic.
What are your thoughts on their differences?
I'm pretty affectionate but I'm like this too when it comes to sleepy time. I don't usually like to be cuddled up next to someone because it makes me feel sort of smothered, plus, I'm usually hot. Often times I can tolerate waking up in the morning in a spoon position. I think sometimes it depends on who you are with and the comfort level.
I do think most men and women will have different opinions on this. I would say my preferences do not reflect most women's. I was with a guy who was big on the cuddle touching thing in bed during sleep. When we first starting seeing each other he was shocked that I wasn't totally into it. Then it kind of became place for accusation "you are distant, cold..." so needless to say it was an issue for us.

I'm pretty sure this is the response you will be getting in the future. Maybe just be o.k. with living alone, and having a girlfriend...or just make sure she falls asleep first.
of coarse you could always do the 1800's thing and have separate beds??
but I'm pretty sure she's gonna take issue with it, whoever she is. though she will say it is o.k., at first.....later you will feel that she is really not o.k. with it.

Is this directed to me? I'm confused because I am a female and it sounds like you are speaking to a male?
