I think his rationale is that people are getting laid off right now like crazy, unlike 7 years ago, when the economy wasn't this bad, so it's more acceptable to be unemployed given the circumstances.

I've been unemployed for about a month and a half.

Dates I've had since I've been unemployed: 3
Dates I had between my last relationship ended (end of 2005) and becoming unemployed: 2

Job interviews I've been on since being unemployed: 5

For me, the unemployment thing has been pretty irrelevant. As long as you're looking and the girl isn't a gold digger (which is a worthless girl anyway), it shouldn't be an issue.

You can tell someone you're unemployed, yet still be like, "but I do consulting or I'm in the midst of a start-up" or whatever. You can be your own boss and do conuslting type work if you're unemployed, even if you don't have client one.

Like you said 7/8 years ago it wouldve been diff. but the recession is here and alive. I think more people are pairing up and shacking up due to the recession. I think I saw stats where it said divorce is at an all time low.

I might get to know the guy and be friends, but I'm not dating him.

If they have foie gras and a nice Cab at the vending machine, maybe.

If he can take me out, he had better be independently wealthy and not worried about working. Otherwise, he has no business wining and dining. If he's unemployed and lives alone, he won't be living alone for long. And he's not living with me.

You seem like a SEX ONLY type of women. Women like you are very useful during halftime of a basketball game

Troof.

Besides, ~90% of people are employed and last I checked, there are plenty of jobs waiting to be had.
