It is imperative to do the butt check. If a woman has not butt ( or at least doesn't meet my quota ) I look the other way. But I am indeed a bonefide butt man.
I've noticed different preferences among different ethnic groups
In my experience black men and hispanic men love a nice, well-rounded butt. White men generally prefer skinnier women with small butts. Nearly all men appreciate big boobs.
I have a nicely shaped butt. It's high and nicely rounded from lots of time spent at the gym, doing squats and spin class. When I worked in NYC I'd often get double-takes and whistles from black and hispanic construction workers when walking past work sites. I also got a lot of compliments from female black and hispanic coworkers and friends. I don't have much in the boob department so I know it was my booty the guys were noticing.
Now, I live in a mostly white area of the U.S. I've never heard a male or a female here comment on a woman's butt.
I think proportion is key. Woman with big butts and boobs and skinny arms and legs tend to look cartoonish. It all has to work together.

Meh, it seems contruction workers around here will whistle at anybody. I hate it when they do that. None of them are ever even the least bit attractive.
I dont get the whole shoe thing some of ya'll have mentioned...it isnt his feet that matters. Im confused on that one.
