So what do you all think is the best and worst cities/areas in this country for singles?

I can't really answer since I have only lived my adult life in Arizona (Tucson and Tempe) and a year in Los Angeles. From my experience in Los Angeles, I would say it is probably the worst place to be single, but I can't say in comparison to where.

I would say the worst places to be single would be anywhere where the gender gap does not work in your favor. A single man is worst off in (most of) the Western U.S where there is a large male surplus.

Hmm...I'd think LA is a great place to be single! I love to go to LA. I think I'd enjoy being single there a LOT more than in the boring suburb I live in now.

If you folks don't know yet, they call Denver Menver. The number of complaining boys is increasing by the day.

men complaining about lack of women??? that's interesting, how are there so many men in "Menver"? is it a big IT town? I hear men in "Man Jose" complain about the same things...lol, most towns in this country have a higher female to male ratio so its all interesting to me because women complain about lack of men all the time!

wherever you go, there you are
you are the common denominator in your relationships, not whatever city you happen to land in

any city where a person feels happy living and has easy access to fun activities they enjoy is a good city

Of the cities I'm most familiar with, I'd say where I live (Wilmington, NC area) and the Charleston, SC area are the best places for singles.

I recall reading that cities with many hispanic immigrants, or with lots of agriculture/mining, and much of "flyover country" tends to be male-dominated. Cities along the coast tend to have more females.
