Well ladies and gents, just like the thread title says. After driving the wife and kids last week and making clear to her that I will not move back unless I get a job in California. I just got an offer from a Lexus dealer in Orange County yesterday. They called me up and offered me a position similar to the one I hold here in VA. So I accepted it and will put in my two weeks notice today. I can't wait to see my kids again. I haven't been this happy since my baby boy was born!!

IS Orange county (or SoCal generally speaking)better than Virginia altogether?
What are the pros and cons of each?

Thinking about heading that way myself, but more towards Merced and Fresno. Good luck! Glad to hear some good news.

Virginia = no friends & family = wife unhappy = my life is miserable

Cali = friends & family = wife very happy = I am happy
