Wouldn't say ugly side. There are reasons behind it which are common sense and not counter-productive.

As far as counter-productive? I'd say it's neither productive, NOR counter-productive. It just is what it is...
Of course let's not pretend that there aren't PLENTY of men who'd LOVE to land a less-attractive, but wealthy woman, and conversely, there is NO shortage of women who need to be with a "hot" guy....
I've been detecting a double standard lately and would like to shed some light on it. Why is it that guys will criticize women who want to date a guy who has money, but in the same breath they will talk about how they want a "hot" girl? You can't have it both ways. Either you accept that you are superficial and some women are as well - or you don't.
There's no point in being hypocritical and bashing women for the same thing you are doing.

Nothing wrong with average looking women. They tend to love more because they don't want to lose you!
If a chick is in the relationship largely because of your money, there are plenty of ways that will be counter productive to your relationship.
Likely true, but such men can afford to get married multiple times. When things get "counter productive", its time to move on.
