He humiliated and mortified her with his actions. So the same thing happens to him.

She was probably humiliating him long before he cheated on her.

But even if she was Mother Theresa, and did nothing to contribute to his cheating, two wrongs don't make a right.

IMO: If she cheated she'd most likely try to justify her actions with no punishment even if the husband was 1000% innocent of any wrongdoing whatsoever.

Double Standards again!

Being a weak person is no excuse for cheating. If a person is miserable in a marriage, fix it or leave. Cheating solves nothing.

I'm not saying two wrongs make a right, but I'm sure she was still mortified and humiliated. Perhaps it's better than her kicking his butt out...

I just think it's tacky and she would have been better served by taking the high road.

I am shocked he even did this! I can't imagine this made things BETTER if they are trying to reconcile!

Well, did he humiliate her in public? Was he pounding his mistress at a busy intersection? Did he rent a blimp with an electronic sign publicizing his actions?

I would guess not. So yes, while her anger was totally justified, her response was totally out of proportion--and managed to make herself look worse in the process.

Think about it. By airing their dirty laundry in such a way that it's being talked about by a bunch of strangers on an internet forum, what she's actually done is draw even greater attention to her own pain and humiliation, not assuage it. Everybody's saying, "Why that's Joe! He cheated on Darla!" So now more people know about it than ever, thanks to the miracle of the internet and television.

What's more, as has already surfaced in this thread, there's going to be a considerable number of people who think, "Well, if she's that vindictive and mean-spirited, then small wonder he stepped out on her. The poor guy just probably wanted a little love."
