So, she opens up accounts and they end up getting shut down? Is she doing this is her name or somehow yours as well?
You do what you feel is best, but I would seriously question the stability of a marriage where someone was thrown in jail, whether they deserved it or the other party lied.
Sounds like when all the money & credit is gone she may want to look for husband #4. Some morning he'll wake up, she'll be gone and he'll be broke.
I'd cut my losses while I had a little left in the bank. Retirement can be tough when you're broke.
When I first read your post I could completely understand why you would say she's your wife and your not leaving her over this but as i keep reading.. She racks up 25,000.00 in bills, she opens credit cards behind your back she throws you in jail... there a thing called a TOXIC Relationship and honey your in it... you are the enabler.. you let her get aways with this horrible things...but want to complain about them... You say you had a good job before you met her... You are not allowed to bank in the same bank anymore... your willing to let everything around you fall apart... You are in an unhealthly relationship and you need to make a change... and your the only one that can change that!
Plus, if you remember from another thread she let their middle schooler drop out of school, said she'd homeschool him and never did. Now the kid has a baby mama and can't get ahead I'm with others hillman, ya'll don't have a very healthy relationship - you should take control, better late than never.
I'm telling you, get a post office box and have all the mail sent there - statements where you can see what she's spending it on and all your bills to pay.
Oh come on everyone! Hillman is like the bloody Rock of Gibraltar and ain't going to move for noone.
Hillman, you seriously are a hopeless case and cause. You're not looking for any answers, you're just looking to VENT, so stop mincing words and just keep posting with, "Hillman Vent # ..." and let it go at that.
Ok several months ago my wife told me our place was paid off.I thought Cool!
Well yesterday I come in and the phone was ringing.Look at caller I.D. it is the Loan Company.I answer they say that we are in danger of losing our place because we are so far behind on our payment I said there must be some mistake that my wife said its paid off.No we EMailed your wife and she responded but we still have not received a payment.
So I asked how much was owed on the property? $151.I said well this is just stupid and I will get it straighten out.
My wife comes in I asked her about it and she lied again and said it was paid off. But at least she knows I'm aware of this and she will probably pay it.
I don't know what to do with her she has done stupid things as this before and she can't figure why I get so upset. No I'm not going to divorce her.I figure after 27 years she is going to do this stuff but I figure she will change thing is every time I think things are going good something like this comes up.
Any ideas.

Man, if you don't even know if your own house is paid off or not, I got nothin' for ya.
I wondered about this as well. Do you owe $151.00 or $151,000.00 on your house?
