I found this article and can say all most all of it is true for me . I do think thta people that get married at 18 or to someone they just meet like under a year is crazy to me . I do not know why marriage get looked down on .
Anyway what is your take on the list?
1. Marriage allows me to show my love in a way that nothing else can.
2. Marriage provides a stable environment for kids.
3. Because of marriage, the woman I love can become my family.
4.Marriage is a money saver.
5. It allows me to fully commit myself to one person.
6. Life is easier when you have a partner by your side.
7. The thought of loving someone forever makes me happy.
8. I don't want to lose the greatest thing that's ever happened to me.
9. I believe traditions are important.
10. I would do anything for the woman I love, including marry her.
11. I'm excited to create an awesome family to make up for the one I never had.
12. I want to spend my life with my BFF by my side. 13. I love the idea of committing to someone who accepts me for who I am. 14. Marriage simply makes logical sense.
sounds like a lot of horse ****. I dont think a single man would ever think like this.
That's sad for you and the company you keep, then. I know plenty of men who couldn't wait to marry their wives because they wanted their lives to begin.
It's a nice, romantic list. I do think, however, that there are many cases where men propose because it's "the right thing to do" or because it's just "time." I would say starting a family and providing a stable environment ranks pretty high, too.

Diss' 15 couner points for 15 reasons why other men want to get married.
1. Irrelevant.
2. Sorry childfree guy here, does not apply.
3. Um, she becomes your family legally when you marry, duh.
4. Haha, hell naw!
5. Yeah, but I'd think you are already pretty committed by the time the marriage convo comes up.
6. Not really. Life can still shovel endless your way, married or unmarried.
7. Really? Scares the hell out of me.
8. If "the greatest thing that happened to you" loves you, you ain't got to worry about losing her marriage or no marriage.
9. I don't. I'm the ultimate non-traditional guy.
10. Pulling back on the reigns of anything. I have my limits.
11. I never had a "family", I'm childfree so no interest in creating one.
12. BFF and spouse are different things in my eyes.
13. Again, i don't feel I need marriage for this.
14. Not to me, and I live and die by logic.
15. Very debatable to say the least.
Go ahead, call me a bitter jaded a-hole CD nation.
Well we already knew that about you
Kidding. Actually I'd say your post demonstrates the opposite, since you state that you don't need marriage to prove how committed you are to someone. You old softy, Diss!
Then again I'm anti-marriage too, so maybe we are both jaded
Any man who uses a punch list to determine whether or not he wants to marry probably shouldn't.
I married my wife because I wanted to build a life with her and I couldn't think of a better way to convey that than to propose marriage. And for the record, while she's one of my favorite people and someone who I truly enjoy spending time with, she's not my best friend; that person is way more accepting of my foibles and doesn't complain about chores not getting done.
I have 100 reasons not to get married, but only need one.
