I don't get why the weather is such an issue for you. I used to live in NY and we had worse weather than Philly yet people got out and functioned. You don't have a car. You can take a bus or train wherever you need to go, or a taxi. So why the cocooning?

You would never survive in New England. We can't just stay in the house because of rain, let alone many inches of snow.

I think you need to stop being so set in your ways and stubborn or you will never get anywhere. As you get older, you need to compromise MORE to find the right person.

Not just me, people here seem to cuddle more during the winter time. I may go out once a month in the winter due to frigid weather

And I think COLD and RAINY means you are supposed to be on the SOFA. Not going out to eat or to the Movies.

And how many dates does that "80%" amount to? Whatever the weather, any woman who would drive over to your apartment after dark to spend an evening with you - a virtual stranger who she's never met in person - is either a complete skank, a potential psychopath or thick as two short planks. In other words, a perfect match.
